Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taeko Yataki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yataki comes to the cage accompanied by Jingle bells. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Taeko Yataki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Baker!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yataki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Baker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Yataki has his takedown stuffed
letting Baker counter with a right hand.
Yataki misses with a takedown attempt
and Baker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taeko Yataki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Baker gets caught flat footed, as Yataki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Baker pulls Yataki in close to prevent any damage.

Baker is working Yataki over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Baker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yataki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Baker connects with a nice short shot to Yataki's temple.

and Baker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yataki won't be happy with that.
Baker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yataki keeps working.

Baker looks up at the clock and then as Yataki takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Baker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
