Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Derry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derry has chosen drake- forever as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terry Derry!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cain cracks Derry with a big elbow.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Cain scores with punches from side control.
Cain in side control lands a decent elbow.
Cain moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Derry on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cain advances to mount.
Cain controlling the position easily from mount.
Derry tries to hold on but Cain postures up.

Derry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cain lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Derry keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cain tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cain lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Cain stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Derry tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Cain counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cain scoring with punches to the head and body.
Cain's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Derry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cain stands and steps away. Derry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Derry looks gassed!

Cain drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Derry is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cain controlling from the top position.
Cain has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Jason Cain wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Derry fails to land with a series of punches.
Derry misses with a takedown attempt

and Cain counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cain.
Cain sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Derry has momentary wrist control but Cain slips an elbow through the middle.

Cain drops back looking for a leg! Derry is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Derry manages to kick Cain off! Cain jumps back into Derry's guard.
Cain stands up over Derry, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cain advances to half guard.
Cain working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Cain dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Oooooh!!! Cain has knocked Derry down with a huge combo! Cain steps away and waves a wobbly Derry back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Derry is rocked!

It looks like Terry Derry has been cut.
Cain misses with an attempted mid kick.
Derry is still on wobbly legs! Can Cain finish him?
Derry misses with a hook to the body

and Cain shoots in for a double leg counter - driving through into a slam and Derry is out! The slam has knocked him out cold! Devastating for Derry but Cain is celebrating as the crowd goes wild!
