The crowd seem to be enjoying Batdurinu's choice of entrance music: Erge-Sholee Biste Turda. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batdurinu has taken the fight to the clinch.

Batdurinu gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Batdurinu is pressing down on Rivera's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rivera is holding on for now.

Batdurinu is trying to work for a kimura but Rivera is defending well.

and Batdurinu counters with an outside leg kick.

Batdurinu has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rivera regains guard immediately.

Batdurinu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rivera is just riding it out for now. Batdurinu eventually gives up the hold.
Batdurinu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rivera does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rivera is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Batdurinu pulls his head out easily.
Rivera could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
