Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Mewes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Tait (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Tait told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Tait!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tait with a poor takedown
letting Mewes counter with a right hand.
Mewes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tait's head.
Mewes cracks Tait with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like George Tait has been cut.
Tait fails with the takedown
and Mewes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tait tries for a takedown but Mewes circles away easily
letting Mewes counter with a right hand.
Jason Mewes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Tait.
Mewes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tait. Tait circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Mewes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tait thinking.
Tait looks gassed!

Mewes cracks Tait with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Tait looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mewes finish him?

Tait is rocked!
Mewes circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mewes counters with a lovely shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mewes drops Tait with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Tait! Mewes dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
