Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Georgie Landis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Khal Drogo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


It looks like Khal Drogo has been cut.
Landis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Landis misses with a hook
and Landis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Drogo shoots in looking for a takedown but Landis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Drogo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Landis misses with an uppercut
and Drogo counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Drogo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Landis misses with a wild body shot.
Landis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Drogo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Drogo trying to control the position from guard on top but Landis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Landis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Drogo has gone for a leg lock! Landis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Drogo's guard.
Drogo keeping moving, preventing Landis from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Drogo is looking for a triangle but Landis pushes his legs off easily.

Drogo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Landis stacks Drogo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Landis!
Landis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drogo on the ground.
A lull in the action here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Drogo prevents Landis from improving position.
Drogo is being controlled here.
Landis gets to mount! Drogo was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Landis content just to control the position here.

Drogo is trying to escape the mount.
Landis avoids the attempt from Drogo to control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Drogo is trying desperately to improve position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Drogo wants to control but Landis is having none of it.
Drogo is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Landis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Landis fails to move to back control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Drogo tries to clinch but Landis moves out of range.
Landis throws a lazy uppercut

and Drogo counters with a takedown into side control.
Landis is looking to regain half guard here but Drogo keeps moving and retains side control.

Drogo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drogo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Landis has escaped the position, nice work there.
Landis is looking for a sweep.

Drogo tries for a kimura but Landis is defending well.
Landis can't do much from the bottom here.

Drogo is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Landis looks calm but he's in trouble here. Drogo gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Landis is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Drogo lets go of the hold and Landis can pop his arm back in it's socket.
