Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nigel Smith!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks to clinch
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Johnson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Smith shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Smith lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Johnson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Johnson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that James Johnson will probably get the nod.

Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Johnson tries to control but Smith wriggling away.
Smith's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Smith tries to buck Johnson off so he can stand up but Johnson has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Smith falls backwards, slamming Johnson to the mat but Johnson holds on tight! Smith is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). James Johnson!
