The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a series of punches but Masters avoids them all with ease.
Burns throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Masters.
Masters throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Burns counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Burns takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Joaqim Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masters takes the fight into the clinch.

Masters breaks the clinch.
Burns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Masters.
Burns throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Masters thows a body shot but no joy.
Burns throws a right hand that Masters ducks under and follows up with a left that Masters also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Burns, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Burns misses with the combination.
Masters avoids a punch combination nicely.
Burns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Masters moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A combination from Burns does no damage.

Masters tests Burns's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Nate Burns has been cut.
Masters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burns doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Burns is breathing heavily.
Burns misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Masters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Nate Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaqim Masters.
Masters thows a body shot but no joy.
Masters just misses with a punch to the body.
Masters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burns pinned against the cage. Burns gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Masters takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Masters cracks Burns on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Burns falls backwards against the cage. Masters follows up with more strikes that drop Burns to his knees. Masters keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Burns! This one is all over!
