The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knocks tries to clinch but Il is having none of it.
Knocks lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Il enables Knocks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Il manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Il is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Il had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knocks defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Il looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Il lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Knocks !

Knocks is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Il locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Knocks is forced to tap!
