Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Panther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pacquiao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Gotta Feeling. The crowd seem to be enjoying Panther's choice of entrance music: Slam Smack by jim Johnston. James Panther has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Manny Pacquiao's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manny Pacquiao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Panther!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pacquiao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Panther tries to avoid it but Pacquiao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Panther to the ground. Panther escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pacquiao tries to clinch up.
Pacquiao fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A head kick by Panther misses
and Pacquiao counters with a nice uppercut.
Pacquiao tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Panther manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Panther throws a lazy head kick
and Pacquiao counters with a stiff right hand.
Pacquiao throws a right and a left that both miss.

Panther tries to sprawl but Pacquiao drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Pacquiao perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Pacquiao stands up and beckons Panther to join him on the feet.
Pacquiao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Panther swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pacquiao throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Panther's waist but Panther gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pacquiao off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manny Pacquiao. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Panther misses with a head kick.
Pacquiao tries to clinch there but Panther circles away.

Pacquiao fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Panther has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Pacquiao shoots in for a double leg but Panther sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Pacquiao lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pacquiao is defended easily by Panther.

and Panther counters with a head kick. That will keep Pacquiao thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pacquiao connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Panther some visible discomfort.
Pacquiao tries to score with some ground and pound. Panther controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Panther parries the strikes from Pacquiao easily there. Pacquiao is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Panther to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Panther wants to get back to his feet but Pacquiao drags him back down.
Pacquiao content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Pacquiao shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Panther is in trouble now - Pacquiao has advanced to mount!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pacquiao controlling the pace for now.

Panther is trying to stand up.
Panther really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pacquiao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Manny Pacquiao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pacquiao has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Panther's face.
Pacquiao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pacquiao fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
James Panther has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Manny Pacquiao is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pacquiao tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pacquiao, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
