The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFiddles misses with a wild body shot.
Mejika tries to score a power double leg takedown but McFiddles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mejika somewhat.
Mejika is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Dohas Mejika has been cut.
Mejika misses with a takedown attempt - McFiddles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
McFiddles missing with a left hand there. Mejika was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McFiddles scores with a nice strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mejika looks to score with a jab to the body but McFiddles is just out of range.
Mejika shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McFiddles sprawls well. McFiddles wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mejika gets slowly back to his feet.
Do McFiddles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dohas Mejika.
Mejika looks to clinch
and McFiddles counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mejika looks gassed!
Mejika tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McFiddles swivels and escapes.
Dohas Mejika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McFiddles lands a big uppercut and Mejika crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mejika looks OK. McFiddles waves Mejika back to his feet!

Mejika is rocked!
Mejika bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! McFiddles comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Mejika falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Mejika was out before he hit the floor!
