Jimmy comes to the cage accompanied by Take a lick. Arlovski has chosen Machine Head-Now I Lay Thee Down as his entrance music. Blow Jimmy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimmy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Arlovski.
Arlovski throws a lazy head kick
and Jimmy counters with an inside leg kick.
Arlovski tries to work over Jimmy's front leg with a kick but Jimmy checks it.
Arlovski lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Blow Jimmy has been cut.

and Jimmy counters with a stiff right hand.
Jimmy is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Vladimir Arlovski has been cut.
Arlovski misses with an uppercut

and Jimmy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Arlovski is not content to let Jimmy control the position.

Jimmy is nestled in close to Arlovski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jimmy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jimmy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arlovski keeps working.
Jimmy works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jimmy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Jimmy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arlovski is desperately trying to improve his position but Jimmy has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jimmy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That has opened up Vladimir Arlovski's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arlovski is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jimmy looking to ground and pound but Arlovski is blocking nicely.
Jimmy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Arlovski because Jimmy loaded up on that one.
Jimmy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The cut above Vladimir Arlovski's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vladimir Arlovski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
