Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rogers Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Sibelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes to the cage accompanied by Housequake. Jean Sibelius has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rogers Nelson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rogers Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Sibelius!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sibelius takes a swing at Nelson's ribcage but misses.
Sibelius looks to land a right hand but Nelson moved out of range.

Rogers Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson misses with a left hand

and Sibelius counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nelson won't be happy with that.
Nelson is holding Sibelius down, trying to stall.

Nelson is stalling here. Sibelius is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nelson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sibelius has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Sibelius is staying active underneath Nelson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Nelson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sibelius is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sibelius wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Nelson is now in half guard.
Sibelius is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nelson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nelson's back!

Nelson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sibelius has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nelson but great work by Sibelius.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rogers Nelson.
Well Sibelius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
