Hanton throws a punch but it's blocked by Barnes.

Barnes cracks Hanton with a nice body shot.

Barnes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hanton backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hanton.

Barnes lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Hanton goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Barnes in side control.

Hanton is rocked!
Hanton is letting Barnes control him for a moment.
Hanton is still in real trouble! Can Barnes finish him?
Barnes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hanton seems to have recovered his senses.

Barnes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barnes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Barnes has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hanton!
Barnes postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hanton looks a forlorn figure.

Hanton is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Barnes has control of Hanton's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hanton regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Barnes wants to finish this one by submission but Hanton is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Barnes.
Barnes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That has opened up Mark Hanton's cut even more.
Barnes controlling the pace for now.
Barnes wants to control the pace but Hanton is squirming around nicely.

You get the feeling that Hanton really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Clifton Barnes just wasn't active enough.

The fighters circling - Hanton throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hanton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Barnes counters with a three punch combo that has Hanton backing up. Hanton nods at Barnes to acknowledge the strikes.

The cut above Mark Hanton's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hanton is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Hanton tries to bum rush Barnes with a series of wild strikes but Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hanton with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barnes to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mark Hanton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
