Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Choke Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivers comes to the cage accompanied by hed(pe)- Bartender. Aiden Rivers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aiden Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Choke Out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Out needs to keep his hands up - Rivers had a free shot at his head there.
Choke Out seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rivers misses with a head kick.

Rivers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Out to the mat! Out manages to get full guard.

Out has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rivers is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Out.

Rivers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Out regains half guard.

Out is looking for a sweep. Rivers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rivers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rivers winds up and cracks Out with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Out makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Out closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rivers did well to prevent Out getting side control.
Out thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rivers's head.

Out looking for a submission but Rivers manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Out connects with a nice short shot to Rivers's temple.

Out wants to stand but Rivers has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Out pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rivers is keeping the position for now.

Rivers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Out's guard.

Out looking for subs off his back but Rivers has passed one foot through into half guard.

Rivers manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Out is now in side control.
Rivers tries to buck Out off but Out is having none of it.

Rivers parries the strikes from Out easily there. Out is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rivers to escape.
Rivers manages to work his way to half guard, despite Out's best efforts.
Rivers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Out is trying to control the action in half guard but Rivers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rivers works his way to full guard. Good work.
Out trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rivers tries to strike from the bottom.
Rivers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Out is one step ahead there.
Out trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Rivers manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Aiden Rivers will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Rivers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Out was covering up waiting for the punch and Rivers finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rivers wants to control from the top but Out keeps moving.
Out not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Out wants to sweep but no luck.
Aiden Rivers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rivers is looking to advance position but Out has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Out punishing his opponent with strikes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Out has control of Rivers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rivers regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rivers is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rivers tries to lock up and control but Out gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Out wants to control the pace but Rivers is squirming around nicely.

Rivers is squirming around, avoiding Out's attempts to control the action.
Out lands with some strikes.

Out working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Rivers avoids a series of strikes thrown by Out.

Out goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rivers turns into him and now he's in Out's guard.

Rivers trying to control the position from guard on top but Out is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Out working for a triangle but Rivers defends it easily.
Out keeping moving, preventing Rivers from controlling successfully.

Out has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rivers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rivers wants to pass the guard but Out is keeping the position.
Out lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rivers!
Rivers keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Choke Out has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Out scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rivers?
Aiden Rivers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Out breaks from Rivers's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Choke Out comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
