The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten misses with a combination
and Strader connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Strader tries for a takedown but Rutten circles away easily
and Rutten counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rutten walks into a straight right hand from Strader.
Strader leaves Rutten with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Strader scores with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rutten throws a combination that misses
and Strader counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rutten looks gassed!
Strader throws a nice looking combination but Rutten bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rutten is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Strader just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Rutten has gone limp, and this one is over!
