PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien Quincy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Carl Carlson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damien Quincy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Carlson!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carlson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quincy to the mat! Quincy manages to get full guard.

Quincy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carlson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Quincy is trying to keep Carlson in close.

Quincy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carlson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Quincy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carlson's back instead.

Carlson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Quincy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlson's waist but Carlson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quincy off to one side.
