The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Kramer counter with a right hand.

It looks like Robert Banner has been cut.
Kramer throws a push kick but Banner slaps the foot to one side.
Banner throws a body punch but Kramer moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Kramer. Those never looked like landing.
Banner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Banner doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kramer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Banner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kramer is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Banner will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kramer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Banner has escaped the position, nice work there.

Kramer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Banner, who protects the arm well.

Banner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kramer on the ground.

Kramer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Banner rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kramer's guard! Nice work there by Banner!

Kramer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kramer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Kramer with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Banner can't escape the position.
Kramer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Banner's face.

Kramer is landing with some decent strikes but Banner is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
