Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mac Danzig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danzig comes into the arena with the Smiths - Meat Is Murder blaring out of the sound system. Mac Danzig has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira throws a series of punches but Danzig avoids them all with ease.
Danzig pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ferreira tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Danzig drives through and clinches with Ferreira against the cage.
Danzig lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Ferreira will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Danzig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ferreira sprawls well initially but Danzig persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Danzig postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ferreira is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Danzig, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferreira stands and steps away. Danzig gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Danzig throws a strike but Ferreira rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Danzig throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Danzig shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ferreira sprawls well. Ferreira wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Danzig gets slowly back to his feet.

Ferreira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Danzig was covering up waiting for the punch and Ferreira finishes the takedown easily into guard.

I really don't envy Danzig right now.
