Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vilo Charo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelly Gomaco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vilo Charo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vilo Charo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelly Gomaco!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Gomaco or perhaps it was just good defense by Charo which made him look bad.
Charo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomaco.

Gomaco drives through and clinches with Charo against the cage.

Gomaco jumps guard and drags Charo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Charo won't allow Gomaco to get back to his feet.
Charo looking to pass the guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Gomaco has his feet on Charo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Gomaco drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gomaco shoots in looking for a takedown. Charo tries to sprawl out of it but Gomaco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Charo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kelly Gomaco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Charo throws a series of punches but Gomaco moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Charo. Those never looked like landing.
Charo digs a good body shot into Gomaco's ribs.
Gomaco throws a head kick but Charo moves out of range.
Charo looks to score with a jab to the body but Gomaco is just out of range.

Gomaco pushes Charo up against the cage in a clinch.
Charo wants to break free but Gomaco has control.

Gomaco gets control of Charo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gomaco will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gomaco pulls Charo in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gomaco is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gomaco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Charo was well out of range. Poor timing from Gomaco.
Charo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gomaco.

Gomaco clinches.

Gomaco turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Gomaco has an Americana. Charo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gomaco is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gomaco hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
