The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Bar with a lazy takedown attempt
and Halike connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Halike closes the distance and clinches.
Halike on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The Bar misses with a hook from the clinch.
The Bar throws a punch but it's blocked by Halike.
The Bar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
The Bar swings wildly with an uppercut but Halike uses good head movement to avoid it.
The Bar working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Halike presses The Bar against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
The Bar fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The Bar lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Halike creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through The Bar's defenses.

Halike drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The Bar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Halike has The Bar in his guard.

Halike is trying to defend against the ground and pound but The Bar scores with a couple of nice shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Halike is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but The Bar pulls his head out easily.
The Bar wants to pass to mount but Halike is defending the position.
Halike is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Halike manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The Bar postures up in Halike's guard and throws a big left but Halike blocks it.
The Bar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Halike had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. The Bar defends it easily.
Halike is looking to sweep but instead, The Bar has passed into half guard.
Halike is refusing to be controlled, as The Bar sits in half guard.

Halike wants to hold on but The Bar pushes him away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Halike feints and as The Bar raises his hands in defense, Halike changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Halike wants to control from the top but The Bar keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Bar is on top in guard.

The Bar throws and elbow that misses. Halike uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in The Bar's guard. Nice move by Halike!

Halike is rocked!
The Bar postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Halike in real trouble here! The ref calls for Halike to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
