Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Holnick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikk Napalm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donnie Holnick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikk Napalm!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napalm throws a combination that misses
and Holnick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Holnick moves away from the strike by Napalm.
Napalm cracks Holnick with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Holnick counters with a lovely straight right hand!

so Holnick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Napalm has his feet on Holnick's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Napalm connects with a leg kick. Holnick looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Holnick pivots, looking for a leg kick but Napalm is out of range and Holnick settles back down.
Napalm takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Napalm tries to clinch but Holnick is having none of it.

Holnick walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Holnick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nikk Napalm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Holnick bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Napalm's head.
Napalm ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Holnick moves away.

Napalm is staying active underneath Holnick, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Napalm cracks Holnick with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Holnick connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Holnick connects with a leg kick. Napalm looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Napalm misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Holnick counters with a solid body kick.
Napalm swings widly with a right hand
and Holnick counters with a thumping low kick.
Napalm takes a kick to the side of the head.
Napalm misses with a takedown
and Holnick counters with a good low kick that Napalm was not able to check.
Holnick ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Holnick shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Napalm napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Holnick tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Holnick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Holnick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Napalm knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Napalm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holnick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Napalm is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Holnick asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Holnick is looking to take a break and control but Napalm is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Holnick misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Holnick throws a strike aimed at the side of Napalm's head but Napalm avoids it well.

Holnick is trying to ground and pound but Napalm uses the momentary lack of control by Holnick to regain half guard.
Holnick not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holnick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Holnick counters with a nice body kick.

Napalm takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holnick working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Holnick is taking a breather. Napalm says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Napalm pushes Holnick off looking to stand but Holnick dives back in and keeps control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Napalm can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Napalm is not content to let Holnick control the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Napalm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Donnie Holnick showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Holnick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
