Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Rothwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asad Uzoglivic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rothwell comes to the cage accompanied by Onward to victory. Ben Rothwell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Uzoglivic. No joy for Rothwell on that attempt.
A head kick from Uzoglivic lands but Rothwell takes it in his stride.
Uzoglivic has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Uzoglivic there as he acknowledges the shot.

Ben Rothwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rothwell tries to clinch up but Uzoglivic circles away and keeps his distance.

Rothwell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Uzoglivic's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ben Rothwell wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Rothwell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Uzoglivic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
