Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Gailfus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonidas King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Black Lab-This Night as his entrance music. Leonidas King has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gailfus.
Gailfus takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
King throws a right and a left that Gailfus avoids nicely.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Gailfus fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. King sprawls well initially but Gailfus persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gailfus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gailfus uses his free foot to push down on King's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for King.

King is bucking up trying to escape but Gailfus cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gailfus is landing with some decent strikes but King is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Gailfus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
