PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Khasm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biggie Slob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khasm comes to the cage accompanied by Kickstart My Heart. Biggie Slob told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khasm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Khasm lands in his opponent's guard.

Slob is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Khasm working some strikes from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khasm loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Khasm lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Khasm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Slob working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khasm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khasm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Slob looking for a guillotine here but Khasm defends easily.

Khasm drops back looking for a leg! Slob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Slob manages to kick Khasm off! Khasm jumps back into Slob's guard.
Khasm will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Khasm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slob swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Khasm distracts Slob with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Khasm postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Khasm works over Slob with some ground and pound from guard.
Khasm is working Slob over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Khasm is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Khasm lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Slob is looking for a triangle but Khasm pushes his legs off easily.

Slob is working an open guard so Khasm takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Khasm stuffs the takedown attempt from Slob. Slob gets slowly back to his feet.

Slob closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Khasm quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khasm is pressing down on Slob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Oh but Khasm is tightening it up a little... Slob has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Slob reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Slob taps out! nice BJJ there by Khasm!
