Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between AsheT Yakobidze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dude fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yakobidze manages to avoid it.

Dude has managed to clinch.

Dude's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dude tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yakobidze was well out of range. Poor timing from Dude.

Yakobidze scores with a takedown into Dude's guard.

Dude wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Yakobidze manages to pass to side control.

We're going to have a standup here because AsheT Yakobidze wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dude tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Yakobidze counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dude won't be happy with that.
Yakobidze remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Dude gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Yakobidze looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because AsheT Yakobidze just wasn't active enough.

Yakobidze feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dude is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Yakobidze looking to take Dude's back but Dude rolls and after a scramble, Dude ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Dude to escape a tricky position.

Yakobidze looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Yakobidze tries for a takedown but Dude circles away easily
and Dude counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Dude closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Yakobidze is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Dude shoots in for a double leg but Yakobidze sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yakobidze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dude circles away.
Yakobidze shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dude pinned against the cage. Dude gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dude has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yakobidze uses from the top position.

and Yakobidze decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dude's guard.

Rex Dude has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of AsheT Yakobidze.
Yakobidze dives in and grabs Dude's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dude pushes down on Yakobidze's head and hops out.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to AsheT Yakobidze.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yakobidze, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
