The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silvia takes the fight into the clinch.

Correia shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silvia but Silvia pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Correia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silvia is fending him off so far but Correia persists. Nope, Silvia circles away and we're back to standing.

Silvia pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Silvia works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Silvia stands and steps away. Correia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Silvia throws out a leg kick but Correia moves out of range and Silvia only half commits.

Silvia drives through and clinches with Correia against the cage.
Correia changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silvia fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silvia throws a low kick, looking for Correia's leg but Correia calmly moves out of range.

Correia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Correia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Correia shoots for a double leg takedown but Silvia sprawls well. He's pushed Correia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
