Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osmond Schwartz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harvey comes to the cage accompanied by Bitches Brew. Schwartz has chosen Hell March as his entrance music. Doug Harvey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Doug Harvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Osmond Schwartz!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Harvey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Schwartz quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Schwartz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Harvey pulls his head out easily.

Harvey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Schwartz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Harvey advances nicely into full mount.
Schwartz tries to hold on but Harvey pushes him away.
Harvey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Harvey lands a nice shot to the head.
Schwartz tries to lock up and control but Harvey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Harvey cracks Schwartz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Harvey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schwartz on the ground.

Harvey wants to stand up but Schwartz has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Harvey winds up and cracks Schwartz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Schwartz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harvey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harvey's back!

Schwartz is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Harvey is defending well though. Schwartz let's go of the attempt for now.
Doug Harvey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Harvey rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Schwartz drops back looking for a leg! Harvey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harvey manages to kick Schwartz off! Schwartz jumps back into Harvey's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Harvey wants to hit a switch here but Schwartz passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Harvey there!
Harvey is desperately trying to improve his position but Schwartz has a good base and remains in mount.

A close second round but Osmond Schwartz will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Harvey throws a hook but Schwartz avoids it easily.

and Harvey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harvey.
Harvey will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Schwartz up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Osmond Schwartz has been cut.
A left hand lands to the body for Harvey.
Schwartz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harvey walks away with a smile on his face. Schwartz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Harvey counters with a big head kick but Schwartz shrugs it off.
Doug Harvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osmond Schwartz.
Schwartz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harvey tried to score with a low kick but Schwartz checks it.

Harvey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schwartz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Schwartz wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Schwartz is looking for a sweep.
Harvey takes a little break here. Schwartz wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Schwartz tries to lock up and control but Harvey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harvey avoids the attempt from Schwartz to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Doug Harvey showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Harvey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
