Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Kivipaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kuosmanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivipaa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kivipää. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuosmanen shoots for a takedown but Kivipaa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kuosmanen dives in and grabs Kivipaa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kivipaa pushes down on Kuosmanen's head and hops out.
Kivipaa keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kuosmanen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kivipaa scores with a one two! Kuosmanen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Kivipaa enables Kuosmanen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kivipaa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kivipaa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kuosmanen is controlling him.
Kuosmanen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kivipaa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kuosmanen wants to control from the top but Kivipaa keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kivipaa gets to his feet. Kuosmanen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Kuosmanen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kimmo Kivipaa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keijo Kuosmanen.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Kivipaa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kivipaa tries a head kick but it misses.

Kuosmanen controls Kivipaa momentarily but Kivipaa frees himself.

Kuosmanen is looking for a triangle but Kivipaa pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kivipaa tries to kick Kuosmanen off but Kuosmanen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kivipaa throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kuosmanen on the side of the head.

Kivipaa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kuosmanen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kivipaa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kuosmanen's sensitive parts.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kivipaa connects with a looping right hand.
Kivipaa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kivipaa is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kivipaa.
Kuosmanen is rocked!
Kimmo Kivipaa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kuosmanen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kuosmanen is still on wobbly legs! Can Kivipaa finish him?
Kivipaa is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kivipaa scores with a jab to the head.
Kuosmanen looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kivipaa lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kuosmanen. Kivipaa pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
