PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryant has chosen B Boy Stance as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tim Bryant will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tim Bryant!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ramos.
Bryant prevents Ramos from improving position.
Bryant manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Ramos wants to improve his position but Bryant is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bryant wants to stand but Ramos has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Ramos tries to roll over but Bryant keeps him under control.
Bryant wants to stand up but Ramos is controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ramos tries to get to full guard but Bryant has control of the leg.
Bryant is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Ramos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bryant on the ground.
Ramos is looking to control Bryant's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ramos avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ramos has Bryant up against the cage in a clinch.

Ramos lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bryant wants to get back to his feet but Ramos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ramos is really struggling to control Bryant but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Ramos tries to free his leg and advance position but Bryant is retaining full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Mark Ramos wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ramos shoots in but no luck this time.
Bryant misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Ramos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bryant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bryant is not content to let Ramos control the position.
Bryant takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Ramos dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ramos lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bryant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos lands a big elbow - Bryant is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ramos!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Ramos!
