Bastos's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, D-Nox & Beckers - One Shot (Flame On Fire Remix) . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grizz swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Bastos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Amaury Grizz has been cut.

Bastos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grizz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bastos, into his guard.

Bastos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grizz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bastos striking off his back but it's not causing Grizz any problems.

Bastos has his foot on Grizz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grizz works his way back into a safe position though.

Bastos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grizz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bastos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grizz is one step ahead there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bastos doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bastos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bastos pushes Grizz off and scrambles back to his feet.

Bastos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bastos tries for a kimura but Grizz is defending well.

Bastos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Grizz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
