Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wallace Weasel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes into the arena with No more Shadows for the Past- NARNIA blaring out of the sound system. Weasel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Suck My Kiss. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Wallace Weasel enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Weasel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Weasel counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Machida connects with a leg kick. Weasel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Machida cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Wallace Weasel has been cut.

and Weasel counters with a nice kick to the body.

Weasel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Machida tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Weasel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Machida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Weasel to score with a decent uppercut.
Weasel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Machida looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Weasel checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Weasel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Weasel tried to score with a low kick but Machida checks it.

and Weasel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Weasel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Machida's guard.

Machida is pulling down on Weasel's head. It's preventing any offense from Weasel, at least for the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Machida here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

and Machida counters with a head kick that drops Weasel to the mat! Weasel scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Machida for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Wallace Weasel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Weasel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
