And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arroyo misses with a combination
and Gatti counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gatti scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gatti thuds a left hand into Arroyo's body.
Arroyo throws a leg kick that is checked
and Gatti counters with a head kick that drops Arroyo to the mat! Arroyo scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Arroyo is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arroyo drops his hands momentarily. Gatti doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Arroyo staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Arroyo doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Arturo Gatti!
