Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog comes to the cage accompanied by British Bulldog. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Cartman!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bulldog scores with a takedown into Cartman's guard.
Bulldog won't allow Cartman to get back to his feet.

Bulldog stands up and waves to Cartman to follow him.

Cartman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cartman wants to stand and escape but Bulldog is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bulldog thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bulldog stops Cartman from standing up.
Bulldog wants to control from the top but Cartman keeps moving.

Bulldog connects with a couple of short punches.
Cartman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cartman wants to stand up but Bulldog is controlling him.
Bulldog lands a couple of digs.
Bulldog won't allow Cartman to get back to his feet.
Cartman looks gassed!

Bulldog trying to control the position from guard on top but Cartman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bulldog gets to his feet. Cartman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cartman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bulldog fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cartman sprawls well initially but Bulldog persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bulldog performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bulldog stops Cartman from getting back to his feet.
Bulldog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bulldog decides to return to a standing position.

Bulldog shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cartman is trying to defend but Bulldog finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nice strikes from Bulldog there.
Bulldog is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bulldog is taking a breather. Cartman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bulldog stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cartman to get to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bulldog.
Bulldog staying calm.
Cartman pushes Bulldog away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bulldog gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Cartman tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Bulldog lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Cartman hold on?!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bulldog working for a choke but Cartman is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bulldog is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Bulldog's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
