The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zloi shoots for a double leg takedown but Resendies sprawls well. He's pushed Zloi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Resendies tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zloi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Zloi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Resendies's guard.

Leha Zloi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
