The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Miyamoto Musashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Musashi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Gold throws a sloppy head kick and Musashi moves out of range easily.
Jab, jab by Musashi - just one landing.
Gold on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Musashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice straight punches there by Musashi. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Musashi.

Musashi forces Gold back against the cage and clinches.
Musashi lands with a left to the head.
Gold's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Musashi lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Musashi is leaning against Gold and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Musashi has picked Gold up - he's going for a ride! Musashi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gold is defending against the submission attempts here by Musashi.
Musashi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Musashi is looking for a kimura but Gold is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Musashi to get the leverage.
