The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parish throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Parish fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Leonard Smith has been cut.
Parish misses with a left hand
and Parish takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Parish misses the shot to the body.
Parish scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Parish swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Parish lands with a straight right. Smith didn't see that one coming.
Smith misses with a low kick.
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Smith tries to clinch but Parish moves away
and Parish counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Parish wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Smith throws an off balance right hand
and Parish counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Parish with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith takes one on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Parish pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Smith back to the cage. Parish follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fredo Parish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parish catches Smith napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Smith to the canvas!

Smith is rocked!

Leonard Smith's cut is getting worse.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parish cracks Smith with a solid left hand.
Parish is in close to Smith's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Parish is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control.

Parish drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Parish seems to have locked his on tight now - Smith screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Parish, as he picks up the win!
