And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alfred throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Martinez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alfred is in Martinez's guard.

Martinez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alfred is one step ahead there.
Alfred wants to pass the guard but Martinez is keeping the position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Martinez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alfred controls the pace.
Martinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alfred on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Carlos Martinez just wasn't active enough.

Alfred closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Alfred has knee on belly and moves into mount.
You get the feeling that Martinez really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Alfred gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Alfred closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Martinez to the mat! Martinez manages to get full guard.

Alfred stands and throws Martinez's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Alfred is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Martinez looks calm but he's in trouble here. Alfred gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Martinez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Alfred lets go of the hold and Martinez can pop his arm back in it's socket.
