Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Breekman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Getty Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Li rushes Breekman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Breekman landing knees to the head.
Breekman is trying to break the clinch but Li has him pressed against the cage.
Breekman throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Breekman pushes off an throws an elbow but Li leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Breekman creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Li has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Breekman regains guard immediately.
Li not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Li working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Li slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Breekman is trying to control the position but Li postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Breekman works his way to full guard. Good work.
Li wants to pass the guard but Breekman is keeping the position.

Li stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Breekman stuffs the takedown.
Breekman moves to clinch but Li breaks away

and Li counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Li dodges an elbow strike from Breekman.
Li has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Breekman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Li wants the takedown. Breekman is fighting it off but Li persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Breekman's guard against the cage.

Li postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Breekman pushes Li off and gets back to his feet.
Li throws a sloppy head kick

and Breekman counters by clinching up.
Li is looking to control Breekman's arms but Breekman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Li has his back to the cage.
Breekman using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Li has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Li gets control of Breekman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Li will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Li can do anything to dispel that myth.

Breekman is looking to work some ground and pound but Li has wrist control.

Breekman stands up from Li's guard - Breekman perhaps looking for a knockout.
Getty Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Breekman counters by clinching up.

Breekman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Breekman pushes off an throws an elbow but Li leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Li manages to break the clinch.
Breekman leaves Li with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's time! Breekman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Breekman drives through and clinches with Li against the cage.
Li blocks the elbow strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Breekman.

Li pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Li connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Breekman momentarily.
Li shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Breekman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Li prevents Breekman from breaking the clinch.
Breekman throws an elbow that misses.
Li is pushing Breekman up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Li takes an elbow to the temple.

Li lands a takedown into guard.
Breekman looking for a sweep. Not yet Breekman, not yet.
Li throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Breekman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Li wants to control from the top but Breekman keeps moving.
Li is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Li might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Breekman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Getty Li wasn't active enough on the ground.

Li closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Breekman did well to prevent Li getting side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Breekman wants to clinch but Li slips to the side

and Li moves into the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Li blocks an elbow strike.

Li manages to pull guard.
Breekman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Breekman looking to sit in guard and control but Li gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

and Li counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Breekman is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Well Li has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
