Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Paquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paquiao throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Aoki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Aoki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paquiao looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Aoki creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Paquiao sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Aoki stands up and beckons Paquiao to his feet.
Paquiao throws a hook but Aoki blocks it.
Aoki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Paquiao defends it nicely.
Paquiao lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aoki circles away quickly and effectively.
Aoki has his takedown stuffed
and Paquiao counters with a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinya Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Aoki counters with a shoot takedown. Paquiao fights it but they end up in guard.

Aoki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Aoki has an Americana. Paquiao didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Aoki is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Aoki hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
