Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre defending well as Diaz loads up on a big left hand.
Diaz rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and St Pierre counters with a straight right hand.
Diaz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
St Pierre shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diaz but Diaz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Diaz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows St Pierre to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Diaz drops back, looking for a kneebar! St Pierre looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. St Pierre looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from St Pierre!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but St Pierre can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Diaz will probably get the nod.
