The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spahn looking to score a takedown here. The Bod is defending well but Spahn drives through and ends up in The Bod's guard.
Spahn wants to pass the guard but The Bod is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spahn postures up in The Bod's guard and throws a big left but The Bod blocks it.
The Bod can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Spahn controls the pace.

The Bod has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spahn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Spahn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Bod swivels though and keeps the full guard.
