Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schtrappe comes to the cage accompanied by Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground. The key to victory for Jacque Schtrappe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacque Schtrappe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Storm!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm slips a jab from Schtrappe.
Schtrappe misses with an uppercut. Storm saw that one coming.
Schtrappe throws a jab when Storm was well out of range.
Storm misses with a takedown attempt
and Schtrappe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Storm displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schtrappe throws out the jab.

and Schtrappe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jacque Schtrappe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Storm.

and Storm counters with a single leg into guard. Schtrappe didn't expect that.
Storm wants to control from the top but Schtrappe keeps moving.

Storm gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Schtrappe connects with an inside leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Schtrappe lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Storm has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Storm and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Storm throws a nice looking combination but Schtrappe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Storm counters with a single leg into guard. Schtrappe didn't expect that.
Schtrappe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Schtrappe tries to get out of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Storm trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Storm has gone for a leg lock! Schtrappe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Storm's guard.

Storm looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Storm trying to keep a closed guard but Schtrappe is proving a slippery customer.
Storm preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Storm working for a triangle but Schtrappe defends it easily.
Storm throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Storm thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Schtrappe controls from within his opponent's guard.
Storm controls Schtrappe momentarily but Schtrappe frees himself.

Storm throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Schtrappe escapes and throws Storm's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Storm is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jim Storm will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Storm blocks a low kick nicely.
Storm defending well as Schtrappe loads up on a big left hand.
Schtrappe connects with a crisp jab.

Storm shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Schtrappe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Storm accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Storm postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Schtrappe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Storm, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Schtrappe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Storm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schtrappe has managed to get both his arms back between Storm's legs - danger averted.
Schtrappe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Storm looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Schtrappe has picked Storm up and slammed him! Storm can't keep hold of the triangle and Schtrappe manages to pass to side control!
Storm tries to improve position but can't.
Schtrappe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Storm on the ground.
Storm regains half guard.
Storm wants to control but Schtrappe is keeping busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Storm is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schtrappe pulls his head out easily.

Storm looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are battling for position here. Storm manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Storm has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Schtrappe is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Storm.
Storm is trying to get back to half guard.

Storm is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jim Storm has got the better of the ground game so far.
Storm misses with an elbow from the bottom.

Storm sneaks back into half guard.
Storm is looking to control Schtrappe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Storm avoid being mounted?

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Storm tries to get to full guard but Schtrappe has control of the leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Schtrappe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Storm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Storm misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jim Storm will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Schtrappe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Storm moves away.

Storm bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Storm is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schtrappe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Storm tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Storm wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schtrappe keeps working.

Storm thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Schtrappe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Schtrappe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Storm has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Storm moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Schtrappe has worked his arm free - good work by Schtrappe!

Storm might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schtrappe kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jim Storm comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Storm winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
