Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Axel Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, ugbUK Ubiu!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ubiu shoots in and gets a takedown into Stevens's guard.
Stevens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stevens is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ubiu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ubiu shrugs it off.
Ubiu is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ubiu tries to hold on but Stevens postures up.
Stevens dominating with strikes here.
Ubiu is working to get back to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by Stevens there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ubiu doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?
Stevens has hold of Ubiu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ubiu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ubiu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ubiu wants to control but Stevens is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevens lands a big elbow.
Stevens cracks Ubiu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ubiu is rocked!
Stevens connects with a bit shot that sees Ubiu covering up! More strikes from Stevens and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Stevens is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Axel Stevens!
