The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxlund wants to clinch but Carwin slips to the side
and Carwin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Boxlund throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Casey Carwin has been cut.
Boxlund scores with a hook to the body. Carwin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Boxlund misses the shot to the body.
Boxlund uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carwin.
Carwin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Boxlund misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boxlund throws the left hand but Carwin avoids the punch easily.
Carwin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carwin throws a one two combo.
Boxlund gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boxlund moves out of range of the strikes.
Boxlund loads up on a big right hand but Carwin slips the punch.
Boxlund takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Boxlund throws a combination that misses
letting Carwin counter with a right hand.
Boxlund misses the jab.
Nice takedown defense from Boxlund. No joy for Carwin on that attempt.
Boxlund lands a nice looking body shot.
Blixt Boxlund is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boxlund misses with a body shot.
Blixt Boxlund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boxlund swings for the body but Carwin moves out of range.
Carwin closes the distance and clinches up with Boxlund, looking for a takedown. Carwin pushes Boxlund against the cage but Boxlund circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carwin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Boxlund throws a jab but it's blocked by Carwin.
Carwin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boxlund swings away with a body shot that misses
and Carwin counters with a three punch combo that has Boxlund backing up. Boxlund nods at Carwin to acknowledge the strikes.
Boxlund feints a jab promting Carwin to slip. Boxlund then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carwin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Carwin is rocked!
Boxlund throws a pinpoint strike between Carwin's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Carwin crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Boxlund scores a great knockout victory!
