Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dante Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and wron cta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garza keeps the fight on the outside.
Garza shoots for a double leg takedown but cta sprawls well. He's pushed Garza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Garza closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming cta to the mat! cta manages to get full guard.

cta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

cta is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Garza off and has taken his back!
cta is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. cta gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. cta gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. cta apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Garza closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dante Garza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

cta has his foot on Garza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garza works his way back into a safe position though.

Garza has an Americana. cta didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Garza is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Garza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
