The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young lands a head kick. Penn smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A head kick by Young misses
enabling Penn to counter with a crisp jab.
Young rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Young takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A looping hook to the body misses from Penn. Young does a little dance to reset his feet.
Penn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Young ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Penn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Penn takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Young throws a jab but it's blocked by Penn.
Penn swings for the body but Young moves out of range.
Young throws an off balance right hand

and Penn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Young can't keep his opponent in guard - Penn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Young won't allow Penn to pass to mount.
Young wants to get back to his feet.

Young is kicking away at Penn from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Penn grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a hell hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Young trying to push Penn off... Young taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
