Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, War Path!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick James!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Path darts in trying to clinch
and James connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like War Path has been cut.
Path misses with a head kick.

James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Path's guard.

James trying to control the position from guard on top but Path is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Path keeping full guard, as James tries to pass.
James is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Path looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! James has picked Path up and slammed him! Path can't keep hold of the triangle and James manages to pass to side control!
James misses with the ground and pound.

James tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Path is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked James off and has taken his back!
James rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Path seems to be working for a kimura but James defends the submission attempt.
James keeps control of the position for the meantime.

James tries to get to full guard but Path has control of the leg.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
James is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Path's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Path's back!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Path rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

James is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Path is just riding it out for now. James eventually gives up the hold.
James prevents Path from improving his position.

James is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Path doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time James.

James is looking for a kimura but Path is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for James to get the leverage.

Path has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but James can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
