Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne misses with a lunging right hand
and Lombard counters with a stiff right hand.
Lombard swings for the body but Payne moves out of range.
Payne misses with a combination
and Lombard counters with a right hand to the body.
Lombard lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Max Payne has been cut.
Payne misses with a left hand
and Lombard counters with a body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lombard throws a series of punches but Payne moves out of range.
Max Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Payne has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lombard.
Payne throws a sloppy body shot
letting Lombard counter with a right hand.
Payne throws a lazy uppercut
and Lombard counters with a solid body kick.
Payne looks gassed!
Payne takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Lombard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloppy strikes from Lombard. Those never looked like landing.
Lombard digs a good hook to Payne's body.
Lombard smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Lombard throws a series of strikes that have Payne backpedaling.

That has opened up Max Payne's cut even more.
Lombard misses with a series of wild punches.
Donk. Lombard catches Payne right on the button with a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Payne takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lombard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Payne circles away quickly and effectively.
A combination from Lombard does no damage.
Lombard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lombard throws a push kick but Payne slaps the foot to one side.
Payne throws a poor cross that misses
and Lombard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The cut above Max Payne's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A shot to the liver by Lombard. Beautiful body shot.
Lombard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Payne throws a lazy uppercut
and Lombard counters with a three punch combo that has Payne backing up. Payne nods at Lombard to acknowledge the strikes.
Payne walks into a stiff left hand from Lombard.

Max Payne's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Payne misses with a lunging right hand
and Payne takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Payne takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Lombard throws a one two combo.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Max Payne's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
