Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Richlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abata Seko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Richlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abata Seko!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seko is looking to score with low kicks.
Richlin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Seko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Seko misses with a hook to the body

and Richlin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Seko's guard now.
Richlin preventing the sweep.
Richlin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Richlin trying to control the position from guard on top but Seko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Richlin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Seko wants to sweep here but Richlin controlling him for the moment.

Richlin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Richlin has managed to get both his arms back between Seko's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Seko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richlin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Seko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Richlin defends it well.
Richlin wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Seko wants to pass the guard but Richlin is keeping the position.

Seko drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Richlin dives on top into guard.

Richlin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Seko's guard.

Richlin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
