Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terry Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Wright!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Wright instigates a clinch.
Wright is trying to stall.

Wright pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wright's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jackson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wright scrambles back to his feet.
Wright lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jackson at a distance.

Wright has managed to clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Wright's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt

and Wright counters with a takedown into side control.
Wright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
Jackson wants to control but Wright postures up.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wright controlling the position from side mount.

Wright tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Wright is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Wright decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Jackson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wright gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wright jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Wright gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Wright counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jackson!
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Jackson tries to reverse the position but Wright maintains control.
Wright misses with some ground and pound and Jackson recovers position to half guard.
Jackson is staying active underneath Wright, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson is pressing down on Wright's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Jackson wants to control the position but Wright says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Wright sits in half guard.
Jackson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson wants to control but Wright is keeping busy.
Jackson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Wright has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wright forces Jackson back against the cage and clinches.

Wright gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wright will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Wright throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wright is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson distracts Wright with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jackson is trying to control the action in half guard but Wright is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Jackson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wright is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Jackson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jackson is trying to control. Wright wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Wright is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wright wants to control the action here but instead Jackson manages to pass to full mount!

Jackson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Wright shoots in but no luck this time.
Jackson tries to land a body kick

and Wright counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jackson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Wright decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wright throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wright avoids it really well and circles away.

Jackson rushes Wright and presses him up against the cage.
Wright drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Terry Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Wright.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.

Jackson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wright dives on top into guard.

A close second round but Chris Wright will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jackson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jackson feints a jab promting Wright to slip. Jackson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wright slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura but Wright is defending well.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Wright is defending well.
Jackson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wright wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wright is looking to escape.
Jackson with the ground and pound but Wright uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Jackson tries to stand but Wright is controlling from the bottom.

Wright looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there.

Jackson passes Wright's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wright trying to hold on to Jackson's head to control him but Jackson postures up.
Wright is trying to get back to full guard.
Wright is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
Chris Wright has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wright has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jackson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Terry Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chris Wright is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terry Jackson.
I think Wright has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
